Fitness has always been a big part of my life whether through sport, well being, or personal growth. I have been a personal trainer for over 20 years. When I found and started doing CrossFit 8 years ago, I was wanting something more in my workouts and pined for the camaraderie of being a part of a team. As a former DI soccer player, I enjoyed working with others. The more CrossFit I did, the more I wanted to learn. Similarly, as a soccer coach at The Francis Parker School I have always looked to get my athletes to the best performance. This is one of the hallmarks of the teams that I coach.
My purpose for coaching is to get athletes to rise to their highest performance. It’s also to get them to understand that competition is a good thing. It helps us strive together as a group and get/do better. I enjoy working with the motivated or curious athlete. When they come in, the energy in the room drastically changes and everyone works harder. It’s fun to be around.
